Story of my life............ kind of. lol

I first attended a private French school when I was a kid, so transfering to an Amercian school was very difficult because the hardest part of attending a different school was fitting in.  There were many children around the school who didn't consider me one of them because they knew that I was a new kid and that I was also french.  So this song sometimes reminds me of the pain I felt whenever I was made fun of which was a lot for a very long time.  And for me this song reminds me of that from time to time.

Things really started changing when I graduated high school and switched to a community college.  Since a lot of my class were going to four-year colleges it was very interesting that I was going to a college where I knew nobody.  A new start was exactly what I needed.  To get away from the life I had before and start fresh.  I started off by meeting the men's soccer coach, who then introduced me to his players, when I met the players I instantly became firm firm friends with all of them, and after that events just transpired that completely changed my life fo the better. Nights out at a club, fun soccer practices, dinner at chillis and many other special occasions made for wonderful memories.
Michael Jackson- Will you be there.

Now that I am at a big university things have changed again. Not for the worse, not for the better.  But they have just changed.  The bad times have gone away, the fun times have passed, and now it's time for me to grow and become the person I'm meant to be.  With a future and with a purpose I now must look to make a difference in life I enjoy.  In a life where I control my destiny and with the help of new friends my future will be made.  We are who we choose to be.

Epilogue Post

The first thing that I found very interesting to read about was how big an impact Bruce Springsteen had in the Rock N’ Roll era.  I found it really fascinating how his life was changed by Rock N’ Roll.  How he had a strict father at home and authoritarian nuns at school.  All of these things in his life made him a loner until he saw Elvis on the Ed Sullivan show.  After that he told himself that he had to get a guitar and start playing music.  I really think that it’s a fascinating story how Bruce Springsteen got involved with Rock N’ Roll and kept making an impact in music later on in life.

Another thing that surprised me was that some Rock N’ Roll artists or music artists did benefit concerts in Vietnam despite the fact that most people were opposed to the Vietnam War.  Or that people in politics like Jimmy Carter invited people like the Allman Brothers to the white house to play concerts.  That is really something crazy to think about.  I wish Obama would invite Linkin Park or Nickleback to the White House once in a while.

The Top Five...... just laugh or get a life.

Natalie Portman- Natalie Rap
If I had a favorite movie star that went into music it would be Natalie Portman. She's hot, she's funny, she's good at what she does....... what more do you want?  She doesn't even try rap for real and she's actually better than some movie stars who think they can sing.  lol

I Just Had Sex- Akon
If this song doesn't make you laugh you need to get a life.  It's actually kind of funny and well made hahahha.

Jizz In My Pants
I just love the fact that SNL can make awsome songs out of nothing at all.  This one is probably the best out of all of them.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pXfHLUlZf4&NR=1

This is one is not the best of them but I still think it's very funny because they make out it of nothing again.
I'm On A Boat (ft. T-pain).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7yfISlGLNU&NR=1

I first heard this song on the radio and I really liked it.  There aren't many lyrics but I still think that it's a good song because of the beat.  It's a club song.  But when I saw the video I couldn't help but laugh.  It is just ridiculously funny.
LMFAO- Sexy and I know it

Opinionator 1

There is something going on in the media that I find troubling.  The fact that we creating so many ridiculous reality TV shows should be a stupid one on its own.  I never did watch reality TV shows because I knew how fake most of them were.  I could never watch one of them and say "wow I can't they did that."  And this was back when I was a kid.  The reality TV shows of the modern world have grown beyond a dramatic break up between girl or boy ( not men and women because anyone who wants to be on reality TV to me does not deserve to be called mature or anything), it's now gone to a whole different level.  Starting with shows like jersey shore ( God I hate that show), where people we've never heard of have the right to become famous because they are willing to expose their secrets and their vices on TV for everyone to see.  Do I really care if some girl from the east coast is a sl#$*?  Not really.

It gets even better because now I learn about the wives of NBA stars and what their live are like day in and day out (very educational).  My point is that most people that I talk to are into these shows however, a lot them also say that it demostrates the stupidity of Americans and how fast it is growing.  Because more and more audiences are being drawn to these stupid shows.  I'm not saying let's get rid of all reality TV shows but what I am saying is let's restrain ourselves from creating some that have no sense.  Like before we make a reality show on rabbits or squirrels.  This isn't helping the image of American intellect which why it must be addressed.

Music Memories 2

I interview my mother.  And she told that when she was a teenager she used listen to Earth, Wind, and Fire.  She also litened to Saturday Night Fever, The Beegis, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and Genesis or Phil Collins.  She told that going to concerts were never her thing to do although she never had the chance to do so because at that time she was still living in France.  I wouldn't say that her taste in those artists has changed over time because whenever it is the weekend and my family and I are all sitting in the living room we still listen to some tunes that both my mother and father listened to when they were my age.  Their taste in other artists may have changed but overall they still to the type of music they listened to back then.  As a music lover myself I wouldn't that my taste in music has changed all that much either.  It has definitely expanded since I was in middle school, but in hasn't changed in the sense that I used to listen to country music back then and now listen to only hard rock or something.  It is pretty rare but sometimes my parents and I both listen to an artist we really like.  For example, my parents love Lady Gaga and her music because they believer she is a talented musician as well as a singer and so do I.  I don't think that people will lose their love of a particular type of music.  They may change their taste in a particular artist but again overall I think that most people will never stop loving the kind of music they listened to when they were teenagers.

The High Five

This song i just discovered recently and I really like because it's fast paced and really gets me dancing.
Alex Gardner- Feeling Fine
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86DwzFkCXF8&feature=related

If there is a group of people that know how to throw a party, who know how to have a good time with music and dancing.  Leave it to the brazialians.  SAMBA!!!!
Bellini- Samba De Janeiro
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mClWp2O_2_M

I rarely get a song that makes me happy while not making want to dance.  This is one of those songs because it's really layed back and relaxing.
Tracy Chapman- Give me one reason
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2kEx5BLoC4

This one is a classic.  Everyone put on your classy clothes and let's go clubbing.  While we are in the car let's listen to this song to get us pumped up.
Daft Punk- One more time
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGBhQbmPwH8&ob=av2e

Even though it is not as slow as Tracy Chapman's song I like this one because it makes me feel very happy while relaxing and those for me are pretty hard to find.
Far East Movement- Rocketeer

Music List #3 (Revised)

If you listen to this song's lyrics you don't need to by an adult to understand what they mean. lol
Even though it's about sex, I really like the beat and the steady flow of the music.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1XozsBN5Z4&ob=av2e
Kelly Rowland- Motivation

As much as I really like this song, I also feel a little embarrassed because of the lyrics. But it's still a great song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UecPqm2Dbes
Enrique Eglesias- Tonight I'm Loving You

This song involves a lot of drugs and violence, it's not a very happy song.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udxZ9zkDzpo&ob=av2e
The Game- My Life ft. Lil Wayne

I really like this because it's one those songs I can relax to.  But don't be fooled, they're talking about just sitting with a girl in the backseat of your car.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=herLMUn2-U0&ob=av2e
New Boys- Back Seat

I don't know why I have this song in my I-tunes.  I guess I liked it at some point, but I have to say this song is my least favorite of the five songs here.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e82VE8UtW8A&ob=av2e
Rihanna- Rude Boy

Music Memories 1

I wouldn't say that my music taste changed a whole lot over the years.  Although I will say that it has definitely expanded since my early in junior high.  For example, like eveyone else in my I listened to N'Sync, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, and so on.  Everyone listened to the exact same thing and you didn't listen to it you were considered different than everybody else or an outsider.  At least that's what it felt like at times, if you didn't like the music everyone listened to your life was harsh.  As time went by and we all got older we were allowed by our parents to listen to different kinds of music.  Like for example, when I was in junior high my parents didn't allow me the to listen to Eminem or rap music for obvious reasons.  So as time went by so did the taste in music.  Everyone's taste went from rap to hip-hop with the occasional group of people that were into country or Rock N' Roll still, at least the modern version.  I'd say nowadays my music taste likes a lot of variety. Now, I just love what makes me move or feel good.

The Bottom Five (Revised)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGdGFtwCNBE&ob=av2e
I've been hating this song since it came out for its boring lyrics and lame music.  I'm just not a fan of whatever kind of Rock N'Roll these guys are playing.
The Killers- Mr. Brightside

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlyXNRrsk4A&ob=av2e
There's one I'll say about Katy Perry. She gets hot and then cold.  This song is super cold. And she sounds like a wanna be Kesha in this song.
Katy Perry- Friday Night

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZR0v0i63PQ4&ob=av3e
Probably the most annoying of my bottom five.  I hate songs that have a chorus where it just repeats and repeats.
Rihanna- Cheers

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CduA0TULnow&ob=av3e
Britney Spears- Oops.... I did it again!!
Let's just back then I hated the living guts out of Britney Spears.  I was on Christina Aguilera's side so hated just anything Britney came out with, most of all this song.

I haven't seen an artist as bad as Rebecca Black in a really long time.  Back in the old days it was someone like Hilary Duff or Lindsey Lohan who tried to sing but had no voice.  And therefor was the laughing stock at school.  Ashley Simpson is another one my friends and I would laugh at because she could sing.  But to actually talk during a song is just the worst way to say "Hey look at me I suck!!!" lol.
Rebecca Black- Friday

Top 5

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgFyi74DVjc&ob=av2e
This is my favorite song because I love the lyrics, they are something I can relate to.  Plus I love the mixture of instruments it gives the song a unique beat that somone can easily love. Tinie Tempah- Written In The Stars.

 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wV1FrqwZyKw&ob=av2e
I love songs that give you inspiration while keeping you happy and moving.  Or if just makes you sing alone in your car than that too hahaha.  But this is my second favorite song. Lady Gaga- Born This Way

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Djj7jW6ny2M
How can you go through life not love one song that just badass Rock N' Roll. Well Bad To The Bone is that number one song in rock n' roll that love. The kind I just love listening to while driving my car. Or maybe one day have on speaker in my future motorcycle.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4H_Zoh7G5A&ob=av2e
Let's just say when I go out with some friends this is the song we usually dane to.
Jennifer Lopez- On the Floor

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysSxxIqKNN0&ob=av2e
Linkin Park is my favorite band of all time.  I've been listening to them since I was in middle school.  And this to me is by far their strongest song.  It always gives me motivation and a great deal of buzz.  I'm just going to say this: This songs rules!!!!

Hi everyone. My name is Elliot and this my first time ever writing a blog.  I've been much of a blogger, anything I have to say is either expressed in words to parents or on Facebook.  My favorite kinds of music vary from time to time.  I'm not a person that stays on three or four different genres of music.  I just listen to whatever motivates me.  The kind beat that I can just go outside and run to.  Or the kind that allows me to just sit at home a relax.  In plain and simple terms, I love music.

Elliot.
